New to St. Paul's

Welcome to St. Paul's United Methodist Church! It is our hope you will be able to glimpse inside the walls of our church and inside the hearts our of people through this website. As a church, in our worship, theology, ministry, and mission, St. Paul's seeks to be a sacred space for life-giving hope for the people and city of Houston.

Connectional Links

The United Methodist Church is a connectional denomination.

Groups of churches in a geographic area are organized to form a district, somewhat similar to the way cities and towns are organized into counties. Often, churches in a district will work together to provide training and mission opportunities.

St. Paul's is a part of the Central South District.

When you hear the term "annual conference," it could be referring to any one of three things. The annual conference is a regional body, an organizational unit AND a yearly meeting. An annual conference may cover an entire state, only part of the state, or even parts of two or more states.

St. Paul's is part of the Texas Annual Conference.
