Imagine Project Update

You Make It Happen!

We are so excited about this wonderful project.

The gate on Prospect is now closed which means construction can start!  The back parking lot off of Fannin will be closed during construction.  We do still have one entrance open on the Fannin side for those needing handicap parking.  We will also still have access to the circle drive and special needs parking off of Main St.  We ask that everyone be courteous with each other during this wonderful history making experience and only park in those special areas if there is a special need.

We are offering tours as the construction progresses.  Please feel free to contact or speak with J.L. Mayhew, our project manager and member of St. Paul's.

You Make It Happen!

Sunday, August 8, a good crowd representing our church at a called session of our Church Conference voted unanimously to engage W. S. Bellows Construction to expand and renovate the Jones Building according to the plans developed by Merriman Holt Architects and our building committee. This is a great day for our church and represents a wonderful vision of the future for our children and for our church at large.

Thanks to all who have helped get us to this point: the building committee, chaired by Jim Walzel, and all of those who helped with the Imagine Campaign. The projected cost of the project is $7,000,000, including construction, architects and engineering fees, the basement renovation, the cost of the financial campaign, the communication prices and other related costs.

We currently have pledged $5,630,000. If more people made a commitment toward this project, it would reduce the amount of money we need to borrow. If you have not yet made a commitment to the Imagine Project, I hope you will join your fellow church members in this commitment to our future.

The Church Conference also voted to receive interim and long term financing through the Texas Methodist Foundation as needed. Thank you for this wonderful act of faith for our church.
