Established: February 28, 1989 Description: St. Paul’s UMC’s Craven-Wilson Lectureship Fund was established with a $27,000 gift to the St. Paul’s Methodist Foundation of Houston and the United Methodist Foundation of the Texas Annual Conference by Mrs. A.R. (Evie Jo) Wilson. This endowed lectureship was given in loving memory of her parents, Rev. and Mrs. W.A. Craven, and her husband, Arthur R. Wilson. The purpose of the fund is to support an annual lectureship during Lent in order to bring a guest lecturer chosen from a field of outstanding world and national religious leaders for the benefit of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the religious community.
