Welcome to St. Paul's United Methodist Church - Houston, Texas

Lectionary & Ongoing Study Groups

St. Paul's offers a variety of ongoing study groups at times other than Sunday mornings. Come and be a part of one of these small groups that meets for study and fellowship throughout the week.

If you have any questions or need additional information related to these groups, you may contact Rev. Shelli Williams by e-mail or by calling the church office at 713-528-0527.

Lectionary Bible Studies

St. Paul's worship is very traditional with an emphasis on liturgy. The Lectionary forms the basis for planning our worship experience.  Three weekday groups study the Bible following the Revised Common Lectionary for the coming Sunday. These groups are open for anyone to join at any time. Reservations are not required.

Other Weekly Study Groups at St. Paul's

Several weekly study and fellowship groups meet at St. Paul's. We would love for you to join one of them! Check out each group for a brief description and meeting times, as well as topics of study:

Tuesday Friends Foundation for Contemporary Theology Groups
Mom's SPACE

Interfaith Scripture Study

Meeting times and locations are scheduled at each session

A small group from St. Paul's meets periodically with a small group from Congregation Emanu El, the Reformed Jewish congregation near St. Paul's. The group meets together for Scripture study, fellowship, and to learn more about each other's faith traditions. While we try to keep the participation "balanced" between the two traditions, new members are welcome.

For more information about this class, contact Rev. Shelli Williams by e-mail or by calling the church office.
